Fiestas dels Xiquets del Molar

The Molar celebrates the Fiesta dels Xiquets on the day of the Purísima, a centenary dynasty recovered in the early nineties full of folk acts. The main attractions are the parade to distribute cakes and the dance of jacks.

Recovered in 1992, the Fiesta dels Xiquets of El Molar ( Priorat ) takes place the weekend closest to the day of La Purísima. It is a traditional event that has been celebrated for over a hundred years. Although in the last century it was a rite of gallantry, it is currently starring the smallest, who pass house by house to distribute the typical cakes in a parade on a car decked out and pulled by a donkey.

Follow the dance of cakes in the afternoon, with jacks played by the village musicians and others coming for the occasion and ends the party with a play, one of the main acts of the party.
