Living Crib of Món Sant Benet

The Living Crib of Món Sant Benet returns one more year! The only nativity scene in all of Catalonia that takes place inside a thousand-year- old monastery.

It is an ambitious and atypical proposal for a nativity scene that combines the representation of classic scenes by a hundred actors with the application of state-of-the-art effects such as video projections.

Apart from the recreation of the traditional scenes of any crib (the birth, the annunciation, the adoration,...), the Món Sant Benet proposal incorporates a multitude of scenes from the Middle Ages, ranging from the monastic life that took place in the walls from the monastery to the recreation of everyday scenes where the townspeople are the protagonists.

The direction of actors is the responsibility of the actress and theater director Tàtels Pérez and has the support of Sara Manzano in the production. The Living Crib is the result of the collaboration of many volunteer actors and actresses from the territory who each year do their bit to shape a magical activity.

Video projections, smells, historical setting, interaction with the actors, an incomparable setting and the peculiarity of a living nativity scene set in the monastic era have endowed the proposal, endorsed by previous editions with great public success, with a special singularity.
