Sant Eudald Festival in Ripoll
Ripoll celebrates one more year the Sant Eudald Festival!
The Sant Eudald Festival has the most authentic, singular and genuine character, because it is a heritage that belongs to all the inhabitants of Ripoll. A few festive days, which unite, generate illusion and cause enthusiasm and joy to everyone.
Days in which streets and squares are a bustle of people who enjoy the spirit of this event. Here no matter how old you are, from the youngest to the oldest you will find an activity to enjoy.
In 1004 the saint was acclaimed as patron saint of the town and the Fiesta Mayor was instituted on May 11. The festival, at one time, was characterized by bullfights, the bull with a rope, the sardanas with the copla played from the top of the bell tower of the church of Sant Eudald, processions and religious solemnities.
Today the party has been modernized and follows the characteristics of the time; it has a popular and free aspect.
