Fair of the Abbot of Navarcles

A thousand years ago the monastery of Sant Benet de Bages was founded and Navarcles has always lived in its shadow. For centuries, the monastery was the spiritual and feudal lord of the Navarclins. The Fair of the Abbot celebrates this close relationship and serves to remember what the monastery has represented for Navarcles since the 10th century.

It is configured as a broad demonstration of commerce, crafts, theater and gastronomy with wide participation. Among the activities include: theatrical performances on the street, the monks' workshop, the pantry of the monasteries, the monastery's cellar, and many others. The streets are occupied by about 150 stops.

Coinciding with the Feria del Abad, a new edition of the Encuentro de la Catalunya Central de Coleccionistas de Placas de Cava is also held.
