Christmas Market in Sant Joan de Vilatorrada

Sant Joan de Vilatorrada is preparing to once again experience the magic of its Christmas Market, an event that year after year becomes one of the most beloved moments on the local festive calendar. The town center will be transformed into a vibrant and luminous space, where the Christmas spirit will be felt in every corner. The market, which will stretch from the Plaza de la Iglesia (Church Square) and Calle Mayor (Main Street) to the intersection with Calle Barcelona (Barcelona Street), will open in the afternoon and fill the streets with activity until well into the evening.

With over thirty stalls featuring local businesses, artisans, and organizations, the fair offers a fantastic opportunity to discover unique items and get your first Christmas shopping done. Festive decorations, accessories, textiles, and handmade goods abound, along with a wide array of food including cheeses, cured meats, sweets, and even cava for an early toast to the holidays.

Family activities will take center stage. El Fumera, a beloved local figure, will be in the church area to greet children, who can also participate in numerous workshops and creative activities. Activities organized by local groups, such as cookie decorating, crafts, postcard writing, and a photo booth with instant printing, will make the afternoon both engaging and memorable. In addition, the characters from La Verbena will add a theatrical and humorous touch to the experience, interacting with visitors and creating delightful moments.

One of the most exciting moments will come with the singing of Christmas carols, performed by the children from the schools of the municipality, a tradition that fills the Ludoteca courtyard with warmth and Christmas spirit.

To complete the experience, the market will offer bar service and different gastronomic points where you can enjoy hot chocolate, crepes, hot broth and other winter specialties.
