Calçofest Valls

The Valls Calçofest is a new cultural and culinary event that unites two of the region's great passions: music and calçots. The first edition has already broken records with advance ticket sales, forcing the organizers to expand the festival space to offer greater comfort and accommodate thousands of attendees.

The presentation ceremony took place in a field of calçots with the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Calçot de Valls, with a symbolic gesture: the planting of an onion, which will grow until the harvest of the first calçot begins, scheduled for the same day as the festival, November 22.

The main venue will feature a large infrastructure ready to host the macro-concert featuring top-level artists from the Catalan and national music scene. Along with the music, gastronomy will play a central role, with a large food truck space dedicated to creative dishes made with calçots, as well as a themed photography space to immortalize the experience.

The Calçofest also includes the Popular Calçotada, with limited tastings, and the Calçofest Tomorrow, which fills the historic center with local cultural and artistic offerings. Circus, magic, dance, and local music combine with tastings of calçotada and Tarragona DO wines, turning the festival into a complete experience for locals and visitors.

Mobility is another important aspect, with a free shuttle bus service connecting the main points of the city and the festival site, facilitating access and ensuring a comfortable and sustainable experience.
