5th Modernism Conference at Gelida

Gelida is holding the 5th Modernism Conference from June 6 to 8, with the theme "Gardens and fountains, spaces of memory of Modernism."

You'll find guided tours, dramatizations, live music, family activities, exhibitions, and period settings. Highlights include the modernist evening on Saturday afternoon at Can Pamias and the "Liquid Memories" show on Sunday morning at the Sant Miquel Fountain.

We will also be visited by a couple of modernist tourists, as part of the Barcelona Provincial Council's modernist fair campaign.

Friday, June 6

7:00 p.m. - Lecture "Gelida's Personal Gardens".

Santa Lucía Room of the CIC.

Saturday, June 7

10:00 a.m. - Start of the day in the Can Valls gardens.
Period music.
Guided tours (with prior registration).
Dramatizations with the Gelida Teatre Schools.
Performances by the Artesanos Choir and the Esbart Rocasagna.
Period costume walks + Grallers de Gelida.
Modernist shop windows and settings.
Family activities.
Thematic exhibitions.

Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.:
Visit of the modernist tourist couple, as part of the Barcelona Provincial Council 's modernist fair campaign!

6:00 p.m. - Modernist evening at Can Pamias
Tasting of local products.

Sunday, June 8

Walk: Cantillepa Fountain - Sant Miquel Fountain.
"Liquid Memories" show with Rosa Vendrell.
Visit to the gardens of the Pomar house.
With the Vallbardina Choir.
