2-Day Canal du Midi, Béziers, and Cadaqués: Nature, Art, and Culture

This August 30th and 31st, experience the Canal du Midi, Béziers, and Cadaqués!

DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - CANAL DU MIDI CRUISE - BEZIERS - EMPURIABRAVA.

Depart via the motorway to Girona, stopping en route for breakfast (not included) and continuing to France to reach Béziers, where we will embark on a fantastic 4-hour cruise along the Canal du Midi with lunch on board. Created in the 17th century, this unique 241-km-long canal crosses the entire south of France. It has more than 60,000 trees planted along its banks and is considered the longest functioning navigable canal in Europe. It is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.

After the cruise, we'll head to Béziers, where we'll have some free time to explore this beautiful city with over 2,700 years of history. It's notable for its Saint Nazaire Cathedral, located high above the city and a remarkable example of 14th-century Gothic architecture with vaults over 30 meters high, and the Old Bridge over the Orto River. We'll then head to your hotel in Empuriabrava. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2 - EMPURIABRAVA - CADAQUÉS - PLACE OF ORIGIN.

Breakfast and departure for the charming town of Cadaqués, one of the most picturesque corners of the Costa Brava. It was a source of inspiration for the famous painter Salvador Dalí, who found its beauty a unique creative refuge. We'll have free time and you can enjoy a pleasant stroll through its maze of whitewashed streets, surrounded by characteristic whitewashed houses and the relaxed town atmosphere.

The promenade, with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea, will allow you to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this enclave that, over the years, has attracted numerous artists and travelers. It's a unique experience that combines art, history, and natural beauty in every corner. After this fascinating tour, we'll return to the hotel for lunch and, at the agreed-upon time, return to our destination.
