La Masó

Province: Tarragona | Shire: Alt Camp | Inhabitants: 300 | Extension: 3,6 Km2 | Altitude: 115 m

In the heart of the Francolí river valley, La Masó is a village in the Alt Camp that has managed to preserve all its authenticity generation after generation. With an agricultural past and present, this small municipality, straddling Tarragona and Valls, harbors a more than interesting medieval past in its interior, since it belonged to the Knights Templar for a century. A look at La Masó will also allow you to discover what a medieval mill was like or one of the best examples of neo-Romanesque buildings in the country, the church of Santa Magdalena.
