Experience the 2025 Cava Harvest: 10 Years of Tradition, Cava, and Unique Experiences

From September 6 to 28, 15 wineries in Penedès and Conca de Barberà offer activities such as peasant breakfasts, gastronomic picnics, grape treading and cava tastings during the harvest season.
The activities, designed for couples, families, and wine and cava lovers, are now available for booking.
A month to enjoy cava culture and nature.
The La Verema del Cava wine tourism festival celebrates its tenth edition with a packed program of offerings that combine winemaking tradition with the natural environment and gastronomy. For nearly a month, fifteen wineries from the Alt Penedès and Conca de Barberà regions will present unique experiences aimed at all audiences: from wine and cava enthusiasts to families and those interested in exploring the world of cava in a new, intimate, and experiential way.
Proposals for all tastes
This year, La Verema del Cava returns with a varied program full of unique experiences that connect visitors with the world of cava and nature through authentic experiences. Highlights include: the grape harvest combined with a local breakfast at Covides; the "winegrower for a day" activity with brunch among the vineyards at Rovellats; a grape tasting and gourmet picnic at Cava Guilera; and a lively Mexican afternoon with bubbly at Jovani Vins.
Other wineries, such as Canals & Munné, offer a peasant breakfast accompanied by regenerative grape harvest workshops, while Vilarnau revives the tradition of grape treading. Creativity also plays a prominent role, with activities such as a jewelry show paired with a petal and cava tasting at Sumarroca, or a Japanese evening with bubbles at Giró del Gorner.
For the more curious, Joan Segura Pujadas offers the opportunity to participate in the creation of a new cava blend. In short, a way to experience the grape harvest with all your senses: flavor, landscape, and culture.
Participating wineries
A total of fifteen wineries will open their doors to join this celebration: Canals i Munné, Carles Andreu, Cava Guilera, Codorníu, Covides, Giró del Gorner, Giró Ribot, Joan Segura Pujadas, Jovani Vins, Masia Torreblanca, Miquel Pons, Pagès Entrena, Rovellats, Sumarroca and Vilarnau.
All of them, located in areas with a strong winemaking tradition, are leaders in cava production and in promoting experience-based wine tourism.
A special edition at a time of splendor for wine tourism
The Verema del Cava is celebrating its tenth anniversary as one of the leading wine tourism events in Catalonia. During this decade, more than 10,000 people—mostly from the Barcelona metropolitan area and other parts of Catalonia— have enjoyed unique experiences around the world of cava.
This festival has evolved into much more than a wine celebration: it's a meeting point for tradition, local culture, and new forms of experiential and sustainable tourism. In a context of significant growth in wine tourism in Catalonia, La Verema del Cava offers activities that combine landscape, gastronomy, and culture, with a special emphasis on intimate, environmentally friendly offerings designed for families and adults who value authenticity and quality.
The data from the last edition confirm the success of the format: a survey among attendees reflected an average score of 4.6 out of 5. The predominant profile is middle-aged couples and families with children, who particularly emphasize the connection to the region and the opportunity to actively participate in the grape harvest.
A commitment to promoting wine tourism
La Verema del Cava is an initiative promoted by the Cava Producers Association (AECAVA) with the aim of promoting wine tourism and highlighting the culture and traditions associated with cava. The activities, which take place outdoors and with limited capacity, guarantee a personalized and exclusive experience.
After ten years of experience, La Verema del Cava has established itself as an unmissable event for cava and regional lovers . “After ten years, La Verema del Cava has established itself as an unmissable event for cava and regional lovers. It's a way to share the most vibrant moment of the year with the public, bringing them closer to the production process and the cultural value behind each bottle,” says Joaquim Tosas, president of AECAVA.
The tenth edition is presented as an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in a month of immersive experiences around cava, discovering its production process, its gastronomic harmonies, and the beauty of Catalonia's wine-growing landscapes.
