Festival of the Three Tombs in Vilanova i la Geltrú

On January 17 of each year the festival of the Tres Tombs is celebrated, a festive heritage of Catalonia, in honor of the patron saint of the city, San Antonio Abad. This tradition, born from a belief, from a need to find a special dyad in consideration of an important development thanks to the work of horses, mules and donkeys, has become a fun and festive day organized by the Association of the Three Tombs from Vilanova i la Geltrú.

A week before the celebration begins, with the transfer of the flag to be delivered to the chosen standard-bearer. The reading of the proclamation, concerts, the great dance, exhibitions and the launch of the twelve morteretes are activities that accompany, in the previous days, the day of San Antonio Abad, completing a program full of events so that all citizens and visitors can to enjoy.
