Meeting with the Accordionists of the Pyrenees

Once again, the Pyrenean Accordionists meet!

The Meeting with the Accordionists of the Pyrenees is much more than a simple festival; it represents a true tribute to roots music and the enchanting sound of the diatonic accordion. It takes place in Arsèguel, La Seu d'Urgell, and Castellbò, and has earned recognition as the oldest traditional music festival in Catalonia, as well as the most important diatonic accordion competition in Europe. Since 1999, it has been part of the European Route of Traditional Music Festivals, supported by the European Union.

For several days, Arsèguel, La Seu d'Urgell, and Castellbò become the European epicenter of the accordion, with streets filled with sounds and rhythms that evoke the soul of Pyrenean culture. Accordionists from all over the continent offer concerts, workshops, and live performances in a unique celebration that highlights the importance of this instrument in the musical memory of mountain villages.
