More than 200 years of history, 240,000 carnations, 30 flower carpets, 1 dancing egg, 1 Corpus Christi, festive imagery, concerts, dances, popular culture, tradition... A whole town on the move!

Flowers, tradition and popular culture will once again take to the streets to celebrate Corpus de la Garriga to the fullest!

The Corpus de la Garriga, declared a Traditional Festive Element of National Interest, is a festival recognized everywhere.

During Corpus Christi , about 30 floral carpets are made, featuring 240,000 carnations accompanied by other types of flowers and plant elements (especially carnations, cypress, heather, pine soil and rice "esclòfia").

In addition to the carpets , different altars and floral decorations are made, as well as the traditional 'Ou com balla'. The carpets are made first thing in the morning and, throughout the day, the visiting public can walk through the streets and admire the floral designs. Entities, schools and neighbors of all ages are in charge of making the rugs with the collaboration of everyone who wants to participate.

Corpus Christi Day also has many complementary activities such as concerts, human towers, dances, exhibitions and a window display competition, among other cultural proposals.

The Diada is also a golden opportunity to get to know the municipality, its heritage and its most emblematic elements. That is why throughout the day open doors are organized to spaces such as the Air Raid Shelter, the modernist houses Can Raspall and Casa Barbey, the Roman villa of Can Terrers or the Doma monumental complex.
