DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - EMPURIABRAVA - PORT BARCARÉS CHRISTMAS MARKET

Morning departure towards Empuriabrava. Check-in at the hotel and lunch. At the agreed time, we will depart for the Port Barcarès Christmas Village, where the traditional Christmas market of southern France is held in its new location at this time of year.

Thanks to the magic of Christmas, the area transforms into a grand Christmas Village with Christmas houses, parades, iconic attractions, countless fir trees, and thousands of Christmas lights. This afternoon, you can freely explore the Port Barcarès Christmas Market (entrance included, attractions not included) and relive the magic of Christmas. Dinner is not included; you can dine on your own within the market grounds. At the agreed-upon time, we will return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 2- EMPURIABRAVA - SIGEAN AND THE AFRIQUE LUMIÈRE FESTIVAL

Breakfast. At 11:00 AM, we will travel to the Sigean African Reserve, where we will enjoy two fantastic experiences: a visit to the park with more than 3,500 animals and a tour of the Lanterns of Africa. During the day, we will take a panoramic tour of the park by bus and on foot. The bus tour covers a 7.5 km circuit, entering the African scrubland parks, home to dwarf buffalo, impals, zebras, springboks, ostriches, giraffes, and more. We will continue to the Tibetan bear and lion parks, followed by the savanna parks, home to warthogs and Somali wild asses.

After this part of the visit, we'll have free time to explore the park on foot, where the large lake with hundreds of flamingos and the savanna plains stand out, offering views of wildebeest, zebras, and ostriches in their natural habitat. To make the most of our time, lunch will be a picnic provided by the hotel (included). At sunset , the spectacular Lanterns of Africa festival awaits us in Sigean, where hundreds of light displays will illuminate the park's paths.

For over a kilometer, we'll immerse ourselves in the beauty of African flora and fauna, passing through different scenes representing various African environments and discovering the iconic animals that live there. From the savanna to the equatorial forests, passing through arid deserts and ocean coasts, we'll be captivated by the magic of the lights and the enchanting musical atmosphere that accompanies this nighttime stroll. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3 - CARCASSONNE AND ITS CHRISTMAS MARKET - NEW YEAR'S EVE DINNER

Breakfast and departure towards the fortified medieval town of Carcassonne. We will stop to visit the Carcassonne Christmas Market and then explore the Cité de Carcassonne, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in France with 52 towers and more than 3 km of walls, declared a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO.

Free time to explore its lively streets, which will transport you back to the Middle Ages and are adorned for Christmas at this time of year. Lunch. Return to the hotel in Empuriabrava. Special New Year 's Eve buffet dinner with lucky grapes, a glass of cava, a party bag, and lively live music. Overnight stay.

DAY 4 - EMPURIABRAVA - LIVING NATIVITY SCENE OF PALOS - PLACE OF ORIGIN

Breakfast. In the morning, we will have free time in Empuriabrava. Lunch. In the afternoon, we will travel to the beautiful town of Pals to visit its traditional "Living Nativity Scene" at 6:00 PM (entrance included). This spectacular display of this unique tradition takes place during the Christmas season, involving more than 300 people from the town and surrounding areas. They create a vibrant combination of colors, lights, costumes, and characters, with over 200 performers bringing to life the past amidst the majestic ancient stones that line the route. At the agreed-upon time, we will return to Barcelona.
