We discover the Coll de Pal bunker route

At femturisme.cat, we're participating in an outing organized by the Tourist Information Point (PIT) to better understand the Berguedà region and its historical heritage. This time, we're exploring the Coll de Pal bunker route, a unique itinerary that combines nature, history, and recent memory.

We were accompanied by Gerard from Pedratour, who acted as our guide and explained in detail the importance of this group of military buildings. The bunkers are part of Line P, a defensive line built during the 1940s and 1950s. It was never put into operation, but today constitutes a historical legacy of great interest.

The route, which can be done independently following the marked path, can also be done with a guide through Pedratour, which offers an interpretive tour of the bunkers. This guided experience provides a much better understanding of the role of each bunker and the lives of the soldiers assigned to it.

It's worth noting that the route's restoration and enhancement have been possible thanks to the efforts of Bagà Tourism, Pedratour, and several local historians, who have documented and marked the bunkers to make them accessible to the public.

We spent a very interesting morning, discovering not only the history hidden in these concrete constructions, but also enjoying a privileged high mountain environment, with unique views of Cadí, Pedraforca, Montserrat and even Collserola on clear days.

To end the day, we visited the Rebost Refuge, a highly recommended retreat for its tranquility, great views of Pedraforca and its surroundings, homemade food, and the many hiking options available. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy the mountains in their purest form.
