DHub - Museu del Disseny de Barcelona Barcelona
The Barcelona Design Hub (DHub) is the leading public facility for the recognition and promotion of the Creative Industries, as well as for the dissemination of design heritage and culture.
With this in mind, the DHub implements promotional policies in the fields of design, architecture, audiovisual, innovation, and technology, welcoming, supporting, and fostering the city's creative talent and working with training centers, creators, and business communities locally and internationally.
The DHub is the home of the Design Museum, with the dual function of preserving, interpreting and exhibiting its collections and developing a range of exhibitions and activities related to design.
These objectives translate into a program that aims to disseminate and bring these disciplines closer to the public through exhibitions and activities for all audiences, but which also seeks to boost and promote the sector through a program that includes conferences, festivals, and awards.
Located in Plaza de las Glòries, the Disseny Hub Barcelona is an emblematic building designed by MBM Arquitectes that stands out for both its unique architecture and its functionality, fully integrating into the 22@ innovation district.
In addition to being the home of the Design Museum, the facility houses the historical collections of various Barcelona museums —such as the Museum of Decorative Arts, the Textile and Clothing Museum, the Graphic Arts Cabinet, and the Ceramics Museum—and offers a cross-cutting perspective on applied arts and design, through art.
With a clear vocation for public service, the center seeks to consolidate Barcelona as an international capital of design, fostering the connection between creative talent, industry, and citizens.
