A unique beekeeping experience to discover the surroundings of Mont-Rebei (Lleida) in a different way!

With this activity we invite you to get to know the territory through the profession of beekeeping, an activity guided by Xavier Ferro, beekeeper and biologist expert in biodiversity and ecosystems.

We begin the tour in Castissent, the entrance to Mont-Rebei via Pont de Montanyana, and from there the adventure begins. The visit is personalized to suit the interests and knowledge levels of each group.

The experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours and includes:

• Pick up at the meeting point and set off in a 4x4 to the beehives, perfect for enjoying the Montsec landscape on both sides, learning about the local flora and fauna, and learning about the most environmentally friendly farming techniques.
• Once we arrive at the settlement, we will put on our beekeeper suits and go to the apiaries, where we can enter the hive, collect frames of bees, observe how they organize, communicate, how they make honey, pollen, brood, and how they influence the surrounding ecosystem.
• Finally, there will be a tasting of the different types of honey available throughout the year, along with other products.
