Tivenys is a municipality that is located in the northern part of the Baix Ebre. Its name comes from the Arabic word al-Hanash Tibbs, meaning land of snakes. Your environment is surrounded by mountains Cardó of saws and Buinaca Boix.

A Tivenys is also the parish church of San Miguel Arcangel, San Benito and San Antonio Abad was built during the eighteenth century. Its exterior is neoclassical and the interior has a great influence of Byzantine and Gothic art.
