Guided visit to CIARGA and the refuge of the Serral + Wine tasting in the Christmas Winery
Fruit of the collaboration between the City Council of Santa Margarida i els Monjos and the winery Nadal we present a sensory experience and content, a pairing activity that combines historical memory, enology and gastronomy of the Penedès.
The activity begins its journey in the Interpretation Center of the Air War (CIARGA) and Refugio del Serral to Santa Margarida i els Monjos, a unique and reference museum equipment, where we will know the footprint that left the Civil War in the municipality and, especially, republican aviation, with the construction of the airfield, aircraft assembly workshops and one of the most well-preserved shelters.
Next, we will go to the Nadal winery. There we will discover, still present among vineyards, the remains of the old airfield of Sabanell that together with that of els Monjos, acted in the network called the Vesper de la Gloriosa. We will know the history of the wineries, visit the winery and the old warehouse used as a hangar during the war and offer a wine tasting, all in an intimate setting of the farm, in the middle of the unmistakable landscape of Penedès.
