Iberian Weekend in Benifallet
A new edition of the Iberian Weekend is coming to Benifallet, with tons of activities for the whole family!
The most outstanding cultural events dedicated to promoting and enhancing the Iberian heritage. This special celebration brings together museums and sites from throughout the Iberian Route and offers a wide range of activities designed for all audiences.
Over the weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse and enriching program that combines educational activities, entertainment, and immersive experiences. Children's workshops and educational games will allow youngsters to discover how the Iberians lived, while guided and dramatized tours will provide a better understanding of their daily lives, beliefs, and environment.
Gastronomy will also play a prominent role, with wine and beer tastings inspired by ancient recipes, as well as reenactments of banquets and rituals that will allow you to experience the spirit of Iberian culture firsthand. In addition, shows and historical reenactments have been planned that will bring the life of ancient settlers to life, offering a unique journey into the past.
This year's edition features a new exhibition commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Iberian Weekend. This exhibition reviews the most significant moments of this quarter-century of dissemination and advocacy, while highlighting the collaborative work of museums, institutions, and local organizations.
There will also be walks, open days, and special activities that will allow visitors to delve deeper into the knowledge of the different Iberian tribes that inhabited Catalonia. With this program, the Iberian Weekend reinforces its commitment to research, outreach, and citizen participation.
