Firagost, the Fair-Exhibition of the Catalan countryside in Valls

The city of Valls will be the setting for a new Firagost, the Catalan Countryside Fair-Exhibition, a fair of the countryside and for the countryside, with all the accessories, which takes place year after year on the first Wednesday of August and the day before.

Firagost has always coincided with Wednesday, the weekly market day in Valls since November 28, 1210, when it was officially granted.

Eight consecutive centuries of weekly Wednesday markets are synonymous with the prestige, tradition, and commercial heritage of the Alt Camp region. For this reason, this year's Firagost has the special seal of eight consecutive centuries of Wednesday markets in Valls, with all the history and tradition that this represents.

Today, Firagost is the showcase for agricultural products, viticulture, horticulture, gardening, etc. Firagost has established itself as a major agricultural and commercial event, with a notable presence year after year of thousands of visitors and buyers, and many complementary events that complement the fair, and with the attendance of more than 200 exhibitors, including more than 30 agricultural cooperatives.
