2 days at the Luchon and Aran Valley Flower Festival
This August 23rd and 24th, experience the Luchon and Aran Valley Flower Festival!
DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - GREAT FLOWER FESTIVAL IN BAGNÈRES-DE-LUCHON - ARAN VALLEY
Morning departure for the province of Lérida. We'll stop en route for breakfast (not included) and continue our journey to the French town of Bagnères-de-Luchon, known as the pearl of the French Pyrenees for its idyllic location and famous spa, already used by the Romans.
During our free time, we will enjoy the events held in Luchon, where the Great Flower Festival is being held. We will be amazed by the artistry and originality of numerous associations, who adorn the various spaces and elements with more than 500,000 flowers, each year with a special theme.
To make the most of our time, lunch that day is not included. We'll be free to enjoy lunch in Luchon's typical restaurants. In the afternoon, at the agreed-upon time, we'll travel to the 4-star hotel in the heart of the Aran Valley. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2 - THE ARAN VALLEY: ARTIES AND SALARDÚ - PLACE OF ORIGIN
Breakfast. In the morning, we'll visit two typical towns in the Aran Valley. We'll explore Arties, where the parish church of Santa María de Arties stands out in its historic center. This 11th-century Romanesque building features an elegant bell tower.
Next, we'll visit Salardú, a town with a small jumble of streets, alleys, squares, and nooks where three elements stand out: stone, wood, and slate. Through a skillful combination of these, the villagers have created true works of art, such as the church of Sant Andreu, a marvel of Aranese Romanesque architecture. Lunch and return to our home.
