Dramatized visit: The events of Fígols in 1932

On the occasion of International Museum Day (DIM 2024), on Sunday, May 19 at 11 a.m., the Cercs Mines Museum organizes a theatrical visit by the Tràfec-Teatre company.

Today, the events of Fígols in 1932 still resonate as an intense memory of the history of mining in Bergamo. A revolt that established libertarian communism in Fígols and that would reach different populations in the Alt Llobregat and Cardener basins, but that the government of the republic would repress quickly and forcefully.

The visit follows the steps of the insurrection: the squares and streets will become a great setting to understand how those seven days were lived in the colony. The spaces will bring the characters and their stories to life, which will transport the visitor to a time when bread for children was earned with effort, sweat, and sometimes, death.
