Enjoy a unique experience exploring the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park on the Cavalls del Vent trail, a circular mountain hike that connects the park's eight refuges. With 8Treks, this adventure becomes a guided and organized route, so all you have to worry about is enjoying the landscape, nature, and the magic of the Catalan Pyrenees.
In the summer of 2003, the rangers of the eight refuges in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park designed a circular route that would link them, covering places of great natural and scenic beauty in the Tosa, Moixeró, Cadí mountain ranges and the Pedraforca massif (in the Berga region).
They named it Cavalls del Vent (Cowboys of the Wind), referring to the Catalan translation of the Tibetan word for the Buddhist prayer flags (Iungta) that are placed on the peaks and passes of the Himalayas to send prayers of peace and brotherhood to the four winds.

Recommended material for the route
Textile and footwear equipment:
- Hiking boots (mid-calf).
- 3-layer technical clothing: waterproof, fleece and thermal.
- Primaloft type jacket.
- Gloves and hat.
- 30-40L backpack with waterproof cover.
- I take a sheet, towel, and flip-flops for the shelters.
Sun protection:
- Sunglasses.
- Sunscreen and lip protection.
- Cap or hat.
Safety material:
- Personal first aid kit.
- Front with spare batteries.
- Mobile phone with charging.
Others:
- Trekking poles (recommended).
- Avoid carrying more than 10% of your body weight.
- Picnic lunches: these must be brought or ordered from the shelters.
