L'Armentera
Armentera is a municipality in Alt Empordà, in the Girona counties. The municipal term has an area of 5.6 km 2 and is located in the Empordà alluvial plain, 2 km from the sea and to the right of the Fluvià, until it touches the left bank of the Fluvià Vell, the old course of this river that used to flow near of Sant Martí de Empúries, with which it connects the Molí de l'Armentera irrigation channel and the Molí del Árbol Seco irrigation channel. The term does not have access to the sea despite its proximity to the extensive beach of the Gulf of Roses. It is bordered to the north and east by the term of Sant Pere Pescador, from which it is separated by the Fluvià, the Molí irrigation channel and the Fluvià Vell, to the west by Ventalló and to the south by l'Escala.
