Terrania Festival in Montblanc
In 2003, the proposal of local ceramists at the City Council to hold an International Ceramics Festival in Montblanc became a reality.
Terrània was presented as a pioneering event in Catalonia and in its first edition it managed to be a complete success thanks to the quality of the work exhibited and the large audience in attendance.
One of the objectives of Terrània is the discovery of artistic and decorative ceramics, a type of ceramics still unknown in this country, since when talking about ceramics it is normally related to traditional ceramics (household and transport utensils among others)..
For this reason, this Festival tries to bring this type of ceramics closer to the visiting public through various exhibitions spread throughout Montblanc of high-quality works, technical demonstrations by ceramists and ceramic workshops for children and adults.
