Summer Festival in Calders

Calders celebrates its Fiesta Mayor (Major Festival), a week filled with cultural, sporting, and recreational activities that will transform the town into a great meeting place for celebration.

The events will begin on Saturday the 6th with giant games in the Plaza Mayor and the opening of the Jaume Casacuberta painting exhibition, which will be open until the 14th. On Sunday the 7th, the traditional popular walk will take place, covering 12 to 15 km, followed by a theater session in the civic center.

On Wednesday the 10th, one of the most anticipated days will arrive with the ping-pong tournament, the popular butifarrada (sausage), the fireworks display, and the opening speech of the Fiesta Mayor ( town festival), which will give way to a cover concert and the lantern dance. On Thursday the 11th, coinciding with the National Day, there will be the raising of the flag at Puig, a musical vermouth, and a night of music with DJs and a rumba concert.

The main weekend will feature the majority of the activities: on Friday the 12th, there will be a children's show, hot chocolate, a fire run, and a concert; on Saturday the 13th, there will be a festival market, a drawing contest, a popular fideuada (a traditional fideuada), sardanas, and evening concerts; and on Sunday the 14th, there will be a dance of giants, solemn mass, habaneras, and the closing ceremony.

With activities for all ages, food trucks, music, fire, and tradition, the Calders Festival is a time of collective reunion that keeps the town's spirit alive and offers days of conviviality and shared joy.
