Carnival in Pla de Santa Maria
The Pla de Santa Maria organizes the Carnival for another year, with activities for all ages and with the party as the main protagonist!
There is no shortage of the Carnival street headed by the Carnival King and the Children's Carnival for the little ones in the house. There will also be the traditional costume contest, floats and troupes.
In Catalonia, the main course of the Carnival festival begins with the arrival of Lardero Thursday and King Carnival, and ends on Ash Wednesday, the day of the burial of the sardine, just before the Lenten period begins, which traditionally it was accompanied by fasting and penance.
