"Passejant Esquirols", concert with the Sant Jordi Choir, Kursaal Manresa
MUSIC / Saturday, September 27 / Kursaal-Sala Gran.
'Passejant Esquirols' is a tribute to the musical career of Els Esquirols, the group born in the heart of Collsacabra (Osona) in 1969, at a time of historic change when singing in Catalan was a real challenge. The group - which disappeared in 1986 - was initially made up of Josep Casadesús, Joan Crosas, Joan Vilamala, Jaume Font, Rosa Maria Sadurní, and Pep Molas. Later, Dolors Roca, Rafael Sala, and Ramon Estrada joined, and many of their songs, popularized and almost turned into anthems, have been passed on to younger generations.
A tribute to the career of the renowned Catalan song group Squirrels
The Sant Jordi Choir, the Esquirols Choir, and the Raíces Symphonic Band Orchestra join forces for this show, offering a combination of music, theater, and dance. The songs of Els Esquirols will once again be heard loudly, to be shared with grandparents, parents, and children.
