Culture in exile: the Interpretation Center of the Catalan Cultural Exile and the Can Palau bunker.

We will begin the day with a visit to the Interpretation Center of the Catalan Cultural Exile, in Agullana, where we will discover the survival of Catalan culture in exile. Exiled politicians, writers and artists who continued to support the republic from other parts of the world. We will enter on foot along vineyard roads to the viewpoint and the Palau bunker, a defensive element of the Spanish Army that, in the first years of Franco's rule, put into operation a network of more than 5,000 bunkers in the Pyrenees, a third of them in the Alt Empordà region, to offer resistance to hypothetical military invasions from France between 1940 and 1955.

Meeting place: Plaza Mayor, Agullana.

Information to take into account:

• The planned schedule of activities is half a day (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.).
• Prior registration is required and the activity is subject to a minimum number of registrants.
• Travel is made using the participant's own transportation and lunch is not included.
