An actor, who can be a professor or lecturer, using images from an old projector, explains what we can learn from the tragic 20th century that can be useful to us in the 21st century in defending democracy. In the last century, many European countries fell into authoritarianism and fascism. The show analyzes the mechanisms of this evolution toward authoritarianism and calls on viewers to identify and combat them by being agents and protagonists of history.

The GLOBUS company's show On Tyranny is a free adaptation into theatrical language of the best-selling book On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century by the American thinker and historian Timothy Snyder, who specializes in the history of Europe in the 20th century.
