The Camping Bungalow Resort & Spa La Ballena Alegre, located in Sant Pere Pescador, takes a further step in its commitment to active and sustainable tourism with the launch of the Costa Brava Bikepacking project, an initiative that connects sport, nature and responsible mobility along the Girona coast.
From June 6 to 8, 2025, the campsite will become the starting point of the Costa Brava Bikepacking Route, a self-sufficient cycling tour that will link several campsites in the area, highlighting the stage between La Ballena Alegre and Camping Cala Pola, next to Tossa.

An accessible adventure for everyone
With routes adapted to different levels and experience levels, the Costa Brava Bikepacking route is ideal for both experienced cyclists and those new to bikepacking. The routes are marked and certified, ensuring the safety and guidance of participants throughout the journey.
The project has the collaboration of entities such as Cyclocat and is part of the EuroVelo 8 network – Mediterranean Route, consolidating itself as an innovative proposal to discover the territory in an active and sustainable way.
Services designed for cyclists
The Ballena Alegre offers a wide range of bike-friendly services, including parking spaces along the route, bike maintenance points, showers, charging stations, food areas, and spaces to rest or plan your stages. It's an ideal setting to connect with other cyclists and enjoy the experience.
Sustainable mobility at the heart of the project
One of the key aspects of this proposal is its commitment to sustainable mobility. Connections to train stations such as Flaçà, Sant Miquel de Fluvià, Sils, and Blanes allow for the design of circular, accessible routes with a minimal environmental footprint, combining bicycles and public transport in an efficient and environmentally friendly way.
