Espinelves is located in the Osona but belongs to the demarcation of Gerona. It is a small village of two hundred inhabitants located in the middle of the area of the Montseny and Les Guilleries Ravell between Coll and Coll de Buch, in a perfect location surrounded by forests of oaks, firs and chestnuts, among others , plus a variety of mushrooms in autumn.
For the municipality of Espinelves spends Espinelves estuary, where sport fishing is practiced.
If we take a walk through its narrow streets you can visit the most characteristic element of the town: the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç d'Espinelves, XI century, and houses within it a Romanesque portal of the century.
But the most distinctive feature of this charming village is the Fira de l'avet held every Christmas since the early eighties. It is a fair where hundreds of craftsmen from different disciplines teach us their work live amid firs awaiting home decorated in Catalan. The firs that are in this show have been conreados Espinelves area.
Outside the house there Masjoan grove, the monumental trees largest in Catalonia, some of which are over 40 meters high, and can find the tallest fir Catalonia (43 meters). The name comes from the ancient grove farmhouse Masjoan, XII century.
