Cavatast 2025 in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia: Cava, music and tradition

The 29th Cavatast Festival will take place in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia on October 3, 4, and 5: a great celebration to enjoy cava, local cuisine, and culture.

Since 1997, San Sadurní de Anoia has become the epicenter of cava culture with the Cavatast, a must-attend event for anyone who loves the good life. This year, the Mostra celebrates its 29th edition with a renewed offering that invites you to taste, learn, and intensely experience the passion for cava.

On October 3, 4, and 5, Parc Lluís Companys will host a wide variety of activities, tastings, and experiences tailored to all tastes. You'll find more than 30 cavas, artisanal cuisine, live music, children's workshops, guided tours, and much more. All in a festive and welcoming setting in the heart of the Penedès region.

Tasting activities

VI Night of Magnums, Great Cavas and Gastronomy

On September 26th, the 6th Magnum Night will take place at Cavas Codorníu (San Sadurní de Anoia), a unique evening to discover the secrets of the most exclusive cavas and the unique characteristics of the magnum format from the experts. In a festive and elegant atmosphere, attendees will be able to taste unique cavas and culinary offerings from participating exhibitors.

Admission (€42) includes tastings and a commemorative glass.

Guided tastings at the exhibition

On October 4 and 5, Parc Lluís Companys will host free guided tastings with limited seating. A variety of creative offerings invite you to experience cava from different perspectives:

• Learn the basic principles of wine tasting with sommelier Edgar Rodríguez.
• Find out if strawberry and cava are a real pairing or just a myth.
• Enjoy a rotating tasting in a small committee with direct dialogue with the winemakers.
• Enjoy surprising experiences such as cava and cheese pairings, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cavas, and tastings of biodynamic and Brut Nature cavas. There will also be spaces for more unique offerings, such as the Cava Women tasting or the world of Cuvée.

Tastings at the Fassina de Can Guineu

For those seeking more exclusive experiences, Fassina will host paid tastings with limited capacity:

• Bubbles and chocolate with a female lead (Cava Women and Simón Coll).
• Cava and gourmet cannelloni, with Ramon Roset and Joan Ochoa, pairing cavas with the acclaimed cannelloni from Can Caneló.
• Tasting of sparkling wines awarded at the Vinari 2025, including the Gran Vinari d'Or.
• The Riedel Cava Experience, to discover the influence of the glass on the expression of cava.
• Tasting of CaSADves of Qualified Site, the maximum exponent of the link between territory and excellence.

Experiences in wineries and restaurants

Cavatast also extends to wineries and restaurants in the Penedès region with activities such as:

• Giró Ribot's gastronomic grape harvest afternoon, with live music among the vineyards.
• Wine tastings and cava on the terrace of the Hotel Fonda Neus, with a pool and views.
• Guided tours of Freixenet, Juvé & Camps, Blancher, and Codorníu, with special tastings of grand reserves, iconic cavas, and cheese and chocolate pairings.
• Unique proposals such as the Cheese Emotion (Freixenet) or the Panot Tour (Cavas Hill).

Live music

Cavatast will also feature music. The Parc Lluís Companys stage will host free concerts from October 3rd to 5th, with offerings ranging from jazz and funk to rock and Catalan rumba, as well as DJ sets.

There will also be the Nit Jove del Cava (Young Cava Night ), concerts in the Town Hall Square, and street music in the town center.

Children's activities

The little ones will enjoy craft workshops, circus shows, and parades with giants and drummers. There will also be the digital game "In Search of the Vitis," to discover the history of the Penedès region as a family.

Other proposals

The program is completed with cultural and heritage activities:

• Visit to the Sant Sadurní bell tower (11th century) with a final glass of cava.
• Route of shop windows decorated with cava motifs.
• The immersive experience of the Cava Centre.
• The Libraries with DO cycle, with literary presentations, theater and cinema.
• The charity open house at the wine cellars and the Escaparate Fest Improshow with awards ceremony.
