Killing of the little in Artesa de Segre
Boilers, sausages and a lot of firewood are the signal that Artesa de Segre is already preparing the traditional pig slaughter. From early in the morning, some forty volunteers have started boiling the boilers of the party to cook the meat and make the sausages.
The party marks the beginning of Lent in the calendar and is the last day on which meat can be eaten. The traditional killing comes to a new edition in good health, thanks to the participation of all the people who collaborate in cooking almost 700 kilos of meat.
During the afternoon all the residents of the municipality will meet, when they will distribute more than 1,200 servings of meat in a snack based on sausage and sausage.
