Festival of Sant Cristòfol in Ripoll
Ripoll celebrates the Sant Cristòfol Festival for another year!
Sant Cristòfol, patron saint of automobiles and protector of travelers, has been a venerated figure in Catalonia for centuries. During the day, cars, motorcycles and bicycles pass through the Ripoll Town Hall square to be blessed and thus enjoy the protection of Sant Cristòfol throughout the year.
The priest sprinkles oncoming vehicles with holy water and gives each driver a souvenir of the day.
A popular breakfast, a gathering of vehicles and a parade have also been organized.
A perfect day to enjoy a pleasant festive atmosphere. Do not miss it!
