Calders Juga, the board and role-playing game festival of Central Catalonia
A new edition of Calders Juga, the board and role-playing game festival of Central Catalonia, is here!
Calders Juga, promoted by the Caldaus Association with the support of Calders City Council, is back with a vengeance, transforming the municipality into a giant gaming arena. The festival, which has established itself as a benchmark in the world of recreational activities with an independent, Catalan, and rural perspective, offers a wide range of free activities open to everyone, designed for families, casual fans, and experienced players.
One of the main attractions this year will be Catalan role-playing, which will have spaces adapted to all ages. The Library will host new sessions dedicated to children and young adults, while the Calders Factory will once again host adult games, with the new addition of nighttime gatherings as part of the "Calders de nit" program, hosted by specialized groups.
Also notable are independent authors and publishers, who will present their games and participate in the "Play with the Author" sessions. Guests will include Ferran Renalias, Guillem Coll, Joan Marc Coflent, and Albert Reyes, who will share new developments and renowned creations within the current game scene.
More advanced players will find their place in the Expert Play section, with games of iconic titles like Zombicide, Root, and The Dark Tower. There will also be tournaments, tastings of the legendary Magic game, and Warhammer demos, as well as a prototype section where you can discover projects in development.
The Plaza and the Casal's Playroom will become discovery areas for families and children, with traditional games, workshops, baby spaces, and activities such as chess, book games, and African games. The festival also includes a secondhand market and specialty shops.
As a distinctive touch, residents of Calders will once again open their doors to host unique game tables, this year themed around a mysterious meeple invasion. An event that combines creativity, community, and many hours of guaranteed fun.
Don't miss it!
