April 19, World Bicycle Day
World Bicycle Day or Bicycle Day is celebrated around the world every April 19 in order to promote the use of this means of transport, draw attention to the rights of cyclists and highlight its health benefits and for sustainable mobility.
The date of April 19, 1943 refers to when Albert Hofmann, known as "the father of LSD", carried out in his laboratory a self-experiment with the substance to determine its psychotropic effects, after which his return home by bicycle he would become famous.
