April 19, World Bicycle Day
This event is over.
World Bicycle Day, or Bicycle Day, is celebrated worldwide every April 19th to promote the use of this mode of transportation, draw attention to cyclists' rights, and highlight their benefits for health and sustainable mobility.
The date April 19, 1943, refers to when Albert Hofmann, known as "the father of LSD," conducted a self-experiment with the substance in his laboratory to determine its psychotropic effects, after which his bicycle ride home would become famous.
On the other hand, the United Nations declared June 3rd as World Bicycle Day to promote bicycle use as a sustainable, healthy, and accessible means of transportation worldwide.
From femturisme.cat we propose a series of healthy cycling routes to enjoy with friends or family.
