Proposals and activities for people with functional diversity

Catalonia is a diverse society from many points of view. Catalans speak more than 310 different languages and participate in all the main beliefs and convictions in the world.

Likewise, in Catalonia, one in 13 people has a disability, although this figure grows to one in five over 75 years.

Living together in diversity is one of the great challenges of today's democratic societies. Being a cohesive and diverse society at the same time should be possible and desirable. The great challenge, however, is that these differences do not lead to inequalities.

In Catalonia we find a good number of entities, associations and companies that work to break and end the stereotypes and prejudices of people with functional diversity and to cooperate and raise awareness about the importance of diversity.

These associations and organizations carry out workshops, courses, debates, exhibitions, and trainings to promote the development of autonomy and self-esteem of people with functional diversity, thus breaking the social stigma and isolation that they still suffer.

It is a large network of collaborators who share values and the same goal, a well-cohesive society where no one is excluded.
