Sant Quintí de Mediona

Province: Barcelona | Shire: Alt Penedès | Inhabitants: 2.188 | Extension: 13,8 Km2 | Altitude: 326 m

More than fifty sources accompanied by visitable caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites formed, the Deus, one of the most unusual images of the Penedès.

The festive intense schedule of San Quentin gives many excuses to visit the village: carpets of flowers, living cribs, and traditional festivals overlap throughout the year. Of these notes, in November, the Mata-degolla, which is a recreation of one of the bloodiest episodes that the villagers staged during the War of Succession (1714).
