Gisclareny

Province: Barcelona | Shire: Berguedà | Inhabitants: 33 | Extension: 36,5 Km2 | Altitude: 1.340 m

With mountains as a refuge from the Saracen invasion, Gisclareny remains of stone axes from the Visigoth period. The splendor of this town, located in the Natural Park of Cadi-Moixeró, came with the nineteenth century, but the industrialization of Berguedà favored its desertification. It is at the end of the last century and early this rural tourism seems to make sense again to this city as a place of residence.
