Beuda
In Beuda there is a perfect communion between nature and medieval architecture, which includes several manor houses, Romanesque monasteries and an ancestral castle. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher of Palera (11th century) and that of San Félix de Beuda (11th century) are two architectural examples not to be missed.
The municipality is confined between the Monte massif and the Fluvià valley. Within the term we find three more farmhouses: Lligordà, Palera and Segueró. The territory, mountainous, humid and wild, is nourished by a group of boulevards, such as the Espinau hole or the Palera waterfall.
The Beuda alabaster quarries are famous, exploited since Roman times and used during the Middle Ages to make altarpieces and sculptures throughout the country.
