Palau-solità i Plegamans travels back in time with a new edition of the Medieval Market

On May 10 and 11, Palau-solità i Plegamans will be transformed once again to revive the spirit of the Middle Ages with a new edition of the Medieval Market. Once again, the area surrounding Plegamans Castle, Sant Lluís Street, and Can Linares Park will be filled with activities, craft stalls, and shows for all ages.
Throughout the weekend, you can enjoy typical products of the period, exhibitions of ancient crafts, children's shows, knight fights, oriental dances, and many other activities that recreate the medieval atmosphere.
Visits to Karpalila Castle and Safe Space
This year, free guided tours of Plegamans Castle will also be offered. These will include:
- Saturday: from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sunday: from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The groups will form at the castle entrance. Karpalila, a safe space free from gender-based and LGBT-phobic violence, will also be available:
- Saturday: from 4:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m.
- Sunday: from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Beast Gathering: Fire and Tradition
One of the highlights of the weekend will be the Gathering of Beasts, featuring the Galera from Cambrils, the Griu from Tarragona, the Pepa Dragon from Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, the Garrifera from La Garriga El, and the Nevron Dragon from Terrassa. Saturday from 5:30 p.m. in the Plaza de Ca l'Estruch.
- 5:30 p.m. – Planting of beasts.
- 8:00 p.m. - Tabalada.
- 8:30 p.m. – Presentation of the fire beasts.
- 9:00 p.m. - Dance of the Chicks (Pica Foc and Espurna).
- 9:15 p.m. - Fire Beast Fight.
- 9:45 p.m. - Juggling show.
- 10:00 p.m. - Lighting competition.
- 10:30 p.m. - End of the meeting.
Medieval Dinner: A Journey to 1229
On Saturday 10th at 10pm, in Can Linares Park, the Medieval Dinner at Palau Medieval will be held, a themed meal that will recreate the atmosphere of the year 1229, just before the conquest of Mallorca by Jaume I. There will be theatrical scenes, knight fights and, for the first time, a fire show.
