Carnival Rua and gypsy dance in Santa Maria de Palautordera
Year after year the Carnival has been consolidating in Santa Maria de Palautordera as a party with a large participation of entities, neighborhood associations and groups of friends of the town that with their floats and troupes fill the streets of the municipality with color. After the Rua, the failure of the comparsas contest, children's entertainment and Carnival dinner and dance is announced.
The Ball de Gitanes is the popular, folkloric manifestation, traditionally more entrenched in the towns of Vallès, recovered in Palau in 2011. This year this event will be held on the following Sunday of Carnival, specifically on March 1 in the morning. The Villa will be filled again with the public to enjoy the Entrance Gallop, the Dance of Ribbons, the Polca, the Waltz Jota, among other dances, by the hand of the Colla de Gitanes Cancel del Montseny, while the audience shouts the traditional Hierro.
