Aplec de Sant Eloi in Tàrrega
The Sant Eloi meeting in Tàrrega is coming back once again!
Sant Eloi Park, considered the main green lung of Tàrrega, has become a meeting point for popular festivals and celebrations, such as the centuries-old Sant Eloi Aplec. The Friends of the Tree Association and the Department of Culture invite everyone to enjoy it.
True to tradition, there will be a breakfast of coca and peaches, dances of the giants, activities for children, and sardana competitions with live music from the Cobla Tàrrega. The Tàrrega Agility Club will round out the program with an engaging demonstration of trained dogs.
In addition, the Friends of the Tree will be selling the commemorative tile, dedicated this year to the sculpture that pays tribute to the 80th anniversary of the weekly magazine Nova Tàrrega. The piece, the work of artist Júlia Freixas, who recently passed away, was inaugurated last April in one of the park's spaces.
