Museu Moto Bassella Bassella
Recognized among the best in Europe, it has become a reference for all lovers of the engine and an obligatory stop on the road to Andorra.
A trip along the twentieth century on two wheels. This is what proposes the Museum Moto Bassella, an interesting journey from the most rudimentary models of the early motorcycle until today (more than 190 motorcycles), through a selection of major national and international brands of all specialties.
In the center of the museum stands the original workshop where Mario Soler rebuilt most motorcycles currently make up the collection. Carefully transported piece by piece from its old location Bassella, retains all the features and details and forms one of the most unique museum spaces where time stopped over 20 years ago...
Apart from the permanent exhibition, 100 years of history of the motorcycle, the museum hosts temporary small samples are periodically renewed and allow to approach the world of motorcycling from different disciplines.
A building with history
The building where the Bassella Motorcycle Museum is located was built with reclaimed from old houses of the village of materials Bassella (town that disappeared in 2000 under the waters of Rialb). The stones of the facade, the roof tiles, some interior floors, iron railings, tiles,... are some of the ancient elements were carefully preserved and transported to km. 134 of the C-14 to integrate with new building materials.
