Sant Bartomeu del Grau
Sant Bartomeu del Grau is a municipality in the county of Osona, located west of Vic, on the plateau of Lluçanès.
Since the beginning of its history until the sixteenth century the village was spread, and today most of the villages (the Vilar, Pujol, Vilaseca, the Ferreres, the Codina, Vilanova, Vilaró, the ?? Alovet, are still preserved between other). It seems then, during the sixteenth century, the current village under the serrat Puiggiró, about two flights, on both sides of nomadic road from the forest in the Pyrenees had begun to grow. The growth of this nucleus throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries made the parish worship was moved in 1780. So a new church, more spacious, neoclassical Baroque end of town was built.
Located in the southern part of the township, 1840 was annexed to Sant Bartomeu del Grau village the old block Alboquers. Appears already documented in the year 964, and the church is cited as a parish under the name Albocers or Albochers in the earliest list of parishes in the Diocese of Vic, which seems to be half of the eleventh century. During the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries appears holders Sant Cugat and Santiago, because formerly coincided both liturgical feasts.
It located in the place called Grau, near a cliff, we find the old church of St. Bartholomew, considered the origin of town holds a portion of its construction and the traces of what was a Romanesque church of the tenth century is documented to From the year 961 and continues to appear mentioned in later centuries. It was renovated in the eleventh century and added lateral chapels until 1780, when the cult moved to the present parish church.
The Chapel of San Miguel del Erm was located north of the term, within walking distance from the house San Miguel, on top of a small hill. The first records date from 1179, when it was consecrated by the Bishop of Vic, Pere Redorta.
