Route through the hazelnut landscapes

We leave Riudecols early in the morning in the direction of the hermitage of Puigcerver, overcoming more than 400 meters of unevenness, an effort that is rewarded by the views we get from above everything.

We continue along the PR * in the direction of Alforja, passing by the Cruz de Formatge and the chapel, which indicates the point from where we begin to see Puigcerver, coming from Alforja. We cross the town, exiting to the south and taking the old road to Riudecols, going up to the well-known Collado de los Baños. We go down to cross the Las Vueltas stream and arrive at Riudecols from the north.

Until here you have a choice of route, but if you still want more, you have the possibility of going around to the town of Botarell, passing through the Mas d'en Casas pass and returning along the old, flatter path of communication with Riudecols.

The difficulty of the route is medium, so it is not recommended to practice it with children. The tour can be done by mountain bike. The approximate time of the walk is 6 hours and 20 minutes, covering a total distance of 20 kilometers, with an ascent of 640 meters.
