With fine sand and warm, calm waters, the Garraf beaches are one of the undisputed charms of the region. Up to 25 kilometers of coastline offer small coves surrounded by unique cliffs at the foot of Massís del Garraf, but also wide beaches with all services.

Discover the coast from a caigo, admire a romantic sunset on the high seas, find a lost treasure, live the thrill of sailing on a catamaran or go out on a boat to practice sport fishing are just some possibilities to enjoy the sea in the Garraf.

The region offers the practice of activities such as canoeing, sailing, water skiing, windsurfing, diving and snorkeling.

Sailing, sailing and diving schools in the region, as well as around thirty specialized companies, together with the Nautical Station of Vilanova and La Geltrú, offer all these courses, activities and proposals. The territory also has up to four marinas and a complex for boats of great length.

In mainland

The coast, the vineyards and the Garraf Park intertwine to compose a particular Mediterranean landscape that can be explored thanks to a number of activities designed to make the most of the mainland.

Wine tasting, segway excursions, hiking, Nordic walking and horse riding or mountain biking and star watching among others.

Touring the Garraf, Olèrdola and del Foix Parks is essential to know the particularities of a protected natural environment. With an arid aspect, with limestone soil, the Parque del Garraf has a characteristic flora and fauna such as palmetto, a palm tree of small size, and the Bonelli's eagle, a species of rapacious specially protected.

In the Olèrdola Park, its monumental ensemble with Iberian, Roman and Medieval remains stands out, and the Foix Park has as protagonists the river and the picturesque Foix reservoir, one of the wet areas of the Penedès.

And for lovers of routes, the proposal of the Walking Garraf, an extensive network of marked trails where landscape, culture and tradition blend perfectly.

Culture

Let us transport by the best collection of locomotives in Europe in the Railway Museum, discover how it was a museum of the time in the Library Museum Víctor Balaguer with works of Greco, Rubens, Murillo or Goya or an Egyptian room. Immerse yourself in modernism at the Cau Ferrat and Maricel Museums. Or visit the Blue Tower with the Guinovart Space.

Other times and themes are represented in museums of Romanticism that left a strong imprint on the Garraf, Masía Cabanyes, Can Papiol and Can Llopis.

Gastronomy with Origin

To find our most authentic self, we must return to the origin. In the Garraf there are still people who work with their hands on the ground, people who work in contact with nature, to give us forgotten aromas and flavors.

The unique products of the Garraf are gastronomic jewels that are grown or found in our region. They are autochthonous and traditional varieties closely linked to our cuisine.

The escarole Perruquet, the cañadilla, the Malvasía de Sitges, the espigalls and the prawn of Vilanova etc.

Dishes of marine origin such as burned garlic, cuttlefish to dirty, a good arrossejat or the ranch sailor coexist with the best xató, exponents of our cuisine. Vilanova prawns are another attraction of the region.

The proximity to the sea is also present in the wines of the Garraf massif, which have a unique personality within the Penedès appellation of origin; among them is the Malvasia made with the native Malvasia variety of Sitges.
