The festival 'El Gat Bornaix' in Sant Miquel de Cruïlles
The 'El Gat Bornaix' festival, which is usually a Sunday in mid-June, is an open-air musical day located in the old cloister of the Monastery of Sant Miquel de Cruïlles.
It is a proposal based on the emerging Catalan scene: performances by new groups that provide a magical evening, in an idyllic setting full of surprises. The activity usually includes a vermouth concert and concerts in the afternoon.
In addition, the proposal is combined with an exhibition and guided visits to the Monastery of Sant Miquel de Cruïlles.
The Benedictine monastery of Sant Miquel de Cruïlles is a jewel of Catalan Romanesque. Inside, you can see fantastic Romanesque paintings of lions and the betrayal of Judas, the large baptismal font made in one piece and other elements of interest such as Gothic ossuaries and tombs.
